The Lamson Clam Knife is made of a rounded, short blade with a slight beveled edge. The rounded end can be inserted into even the tightest closed clam shell. The handle is attached to the blade with two brass rivets, providing a surface that fits in your palm and can be leveraged without breaking when you pry open the hard shell of a clam or oyster to remove the meat. One edge of the knife is sharpened to cut the binding sinew of the two clams. The knife is approx. 7" in total length.
This knife is a multi-tasker! It can be used to spread tuna or egg salad on your crunchy breads or dip into a condiment bottle to add a yummy sauce on your Po’Boy sandwich.
The walnut handle is unique for each blade with the natural color of the wood. The knife should be hand washed only and when the wood appears to be dry, treat with a rub of mineral oil.
