This Lamson Meat Cleaver is a heavy-duty rectangular-bladed hatchet style knife, the blade is 7.25” in length. A hole at the end of the blade can be used to hang the cleaver from a meat hook or butcher’s belt. It is the tool to use to separate chicken thighs and chop thru beef bones. A meat cleaver is designed to withstand hard chops thru meat and bone without breaking the blade or handle. It isn’t safe to use small kitchen knives to chop meat.
This blade is made from hardened and tempered high-carbon stainless steel. Three rivets hold the blade securely in the walnut handle. The beautiful walnut handle is unique for each blade or turner in the Lamson product line, the natural walnut color variations create a unique handle. The knife should be hand washed only. To keep the wood handle looking its best when it appears dry, treat with a rub of mineral or vegetable oil.
