The long blade of the Lamson 10" Wide Chef's Knife can help you tackle those larger cutting jobs in the kitchen. Chef's knifes are the most versatile knives you can have in your kitchen because they can do almost everything from cutting to chopping. The rounded edge of the blade makes this knife better suited to cutting with a rocking motion.
Lamson uses only the finest grade 4116 high-carbon stainless steel from Solingen, Germany when crafting their quality knives. Every knife is precision forged using the same Hot-Drop Forge technique used years ago and is tempered to 58° Rockwell. This method results in a sharper, harder blade that has greater edge retention. Each Lamson blade is specially crafted in the United States of America.
While you are cutting, having a balanced knife is very important. The full tang blade and triple riveted handle provide you with the perfect balance in every knife. To provide a seamless transition between knife blade and tang, each knife has a recessed bolster for added balance and safety.
To fit your personal taste, Lamson has four different handle finishes for you to choose from: silver, earth, rosewood, and fire. Each finish features different properties that might make one more suitable than the others. The silver finish handle is resin-infused wood with nickel silver rivets. Using a resin-infuse wood handle will give you the look of wood without needing to worry about bacteria harboring in the pours of the wood. Earth wood finished handles are similar to silver finish, being resin infused wood with nickel silver rivets, the difference being ebony wood is used for Earth handles. Rosewood handles are crafted from natural wood and are attached to the tang with brass rivets. Fire handles are made out of durable acrylic and attached with nickel silver rivets.
