The
Oneida Stainless Steel 7" Santoku Knife
is very similar to a chef's knife with a difference being the grooves in the blade. These grooves fill with juices and allow foods to fall away from the blade easier.
The wide blade of the knife is also good for scooping up foods and transferring them to another dish. The stainless steel handle and blade of the knife make this knife very hygienic.
When using any knife it is always important to keep your blades sharp. Dull knives in the kitchen are the most common cause for accidents. Dull blades tend to slip easier and usually require more pressure when cutting. Regular maintenance of your blades should help keep your hands safer and allow you to cut faster. Once you have finished cutting with your knife, wash it in warm soapy water, and dry. Never let food dry on the blade of the knife. After the knife has been washed it should be safely stored in a knife block, on a knife magnet, or in knife guards. Properly storing your knives can help keep the edge on your blade.
Each Oneida blade comes with a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty insures the fine quality of stainless is warranted against original defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner.
