The
Wusthof Epicure 7" Santoku Hollow Edge Knife
is an all purpose knife that will let you chop, mince, dice, slice, and more. The wide, flat blade is also useful for crushing garlic and transferring food from the cutting board to another receptacle.
A unique feature of Epicure knives is the composite wood handle. These handles use the same wood composite materials of that found in epicurean Cutting boards. The Epicure handle covers the full tang of the precision forged blade. The new blade has a dynamic shape and modern lines.
Properly caring for your Wusthof knife is very important. To keep the edge on your blade for as long as possible, hand wash and dry your knives, and safely store them in a knife guard, on a knife bar, or in a knife block. Doing so will not only help keep your blades safe from knicks but it can also save you from cutting your hand when reaching for your knife. Never place your knives in the dishwasher. The high heat and harsh detergents are hard on your blades. Once you have finished cutting with your knife, hand wash and dry it immediately. Never let food dry on your knife. Following these simple things can help you get more life out of your Wusthof knives.
