Using herbs with your Microplane Herb Mill:
Fresh herbs that are clean and dry will be best to start with. Wash herbs in cool - not cold - water and pat them dry with paper towels right before use. Soft-stemmed herbs like parsley and cilantro can go straight into your herb mill, stems and leaves and all. Some herbs have sturdier stems you may not wish to eat, strip the leaves off of these by running your fingers firmly down the stem from top to bottom, then load the leaves into the herb mill. Place the plunger of the herb-mill back into the body and simply twist for finely minced herbs!
